MindClerk for Mac.
Voice to polished text in every app, and notes for your calls.
MindClerk is in a private beta. Downloads open together with accounts and plans — until then, here is what it needs and what it will ask for.
What you need
- A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later). Intel Macs are not supported.
- macOS 13 Ventura or later.
- macOS 14.6 or later to record the other side of a call.
- Disk for the on-device models: 65–670 MB for speech, about 4.6 GB for the optional cleanup model.
The permissions it will ask for, and why
Each one is asked when it is first needed. Without it the app keeps running; only the feature that needs it waits.
Microphone
To hear you while you hold the shortcut, and your side of a meeting you take notes of.
During setup, or at the first dictation.
Accessibility
To notice your shortcut while another app is in front, paste at the cursor, and read the selection for Command mode and transforms.
During setup. Without it the shortcut does nothing.
Screen & System Audio Recording
Only for the Notetaker, to hear the other side of a call from what your Mac plays. Nothing on your screen is recorded.
The first time you take notes with “Record the other side” on.
Calendars
Optional: upcoming meetings, reminders before they start, and notes named after the meeting.
When you connect a calendar.
Input Monitoring is not requested. If the shortcut stops working after an update, switch MindClerk off and on again under Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
